The DAS
design system.
A small, focused system for the Dunedin Astronomical Society — built from the visual DNA of the existing sign and observatory identity. Night-sky palette, editorial type, and a friendly-but-precise tone.

Principles
Welcoming first.
We are the friendliest observatory in the southern hemisphere. Tone is warm and plain — never gatekeeping.
Precise where it matters.
Times, dates, coordinates, magnitudes — these are sharp. Mono type signals 'real data'.
Quietly reverent.
The sky does the heavy lifting. Composition gives it room — generous spacing, deep dark, restrained color.
